About Dispute Resolution Services (DRS)

Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) was founded in 1991 by Christine M. Leick, a highly successful and well respected family law attorney. Having represented clients in separation, divorce and other relationship matters for over 18 years, Chris Leick became increasingly uncomfortable with the focus on “winning” in court.

Chris saw that a lengthy adversarial process drained her clients emotionally and financially. In cases with children, it also created a level of conflict which made it difficult for parents to cooperate in raising their children.

Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) is the model for high quality dispute resolution services in Minnesota. The Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) model has greatly reduced the financial and emotional costs of conflict while protecting and supporting our clients and their children in one of the most significant financial and personal transactions of their lives.

Dispute Resolution Services (DRS) is renowned for

  • Creative solutions to complex problems
  • Settlements which preserve the parties financial resources
  • Parenting agreements focused on the needs of children
  • Improved client communication and cooperation
  • Timely, accurate and thorough documentation of information and agreements
